This apartment would have been perfect (large spacious room and bathroom) if the traffic noise is properly insulated and a microwave oven was provided. Also, we did not like the charges for fresh towels and were given two single beds not a double bed as requested.

i stayed with a friend for 4 nights. the apartment was on the 4th floor, it was very clean and it has a very large bathroom! you can expect exactly what you see from the pictures! 100% recommend, also for the position and the services you have near karaiskaki square!

Apartment is clean and close to amenities including the metro station. I would stay here again. One drawback our apartment was over looking a very busy round about on a busy street, there was a lot of traffic noise and it would wake you up. Didn’t bother us too much as we were only there for a few days so we wanted to be up early.

So back in May my husband and friends decided they wanted to do the Athens marathon, one person booked an apartment for 4 at connect, I looked on ‘ booking.com’ and they had a top floor two bedroom apartment that slept 7 large balcony, cooking facilities and the pictures looked amazing of the apartment. On booking.com I booked for 4 people but sent message through booking.com straight away to say that 4 people had confirmed for the marathon but it could go up to 6. In October I messaged connect studios through booking.com and said that I had tried to change the number of people through booking.com but it wouldn’t let me change it to 6 people, connect studios replied, not a problem you have booked a large apartment we can facilitate this. So November the 8th, great flight, fantastic transfer ( welcome transfers are great) and we arrive in an area of Athens that was not featured in the photos !!! We walk into reception, Receptionist “ we have no large apartment that sleeps 7” I show her a print out of the booking that says roof top apartment that sleeps 7 She replied “ we have not had that for many months, the owner is turning it into smaller room ( rooms!!) ( note my last conversation with connect was the end of October ! ) She takes us upstairs ( see photos) to a room with a double bed and a sofa bed ( see sofa bed has no front legs and topples over when sat on ) sofa bed is almost touching the double bed. Electrics hanging from the walls, dirty fridge with hair in, dirty carpet, debris on the stairs. I show her email where owner confirms the large apartment and for 6 people. She phoned owner, he tells her to offer the “ room next door” Again this has electrics hanging off of the wall and no kitchen, I enforce 6 people and that 2 of those people can not sleep on the tip over mattress. By now I’ve spoken to booking.com and they spoke to the manger who offers we stay for free in the two rooms. During booking.com telling me this offer the owner phoned the receptionist and tells her not to do “ free” but to knock €80 off of the price !!!!! While taking the below photos ( please note the dangerous balcony, there appeared to be a connecting balcony to another room ( photo of lady sitting smoking on it) I tell booking.com that the owner is telling the receptionist a different story to what he is telling booking.com. Suddenly I’m told another room has become available ! So all 6 people can be accommodated ( still dangerous and dirty and a broken contract of there not being a 7 person roof top apartment) ( during this time owner refuses to talk to me on the phone or come to the “ rooms” to talk to me) So we view this additional room ! On our way up the lady who was smoking on the balcony storms past us aggressively. We enter the room to find it’s the room that the lady was in, dirty tissues and clothing laying around !!! By now the receptionist needs to close and go home ! (4pm) owner refusing to talk to anyone and won’t pay her overtime. Booking.com also trying to contact the owner. We have no choice but to leave the rooms !!!! We booked into a nearby hotel ( luckily we did at the time as Athens was full for the marathon and they only had three rooms left) By 8 pm I receive a phone call from booking.com who have only just been able to contact the owner and agree refund and all they could find that was avalible ( marathon weekend) was an apartment 15 miles out of Athens. I refuse and tell them that as we had to leave connect ‘ rooms ‘ we had to book into a nearby hotel as a massive extra cost. As we had booked transfers from connect studios we left it as that and on our return journey while waiting outside the building the receptionist came out and said she had tried many times to talk to the owner and he was now refusing to communicate with her as she had also found that the 7 person roof top apartment was still being listed for booking !!! Not a great area to stay, lots of different culture asylum seekers in the area and according to the ‘ black panther ‘ police stationed here there are often gang and culture fighting. Metro a short walk, but lots of pick pockets ( one of our group has her purse taken from her trouser front pocket in a group of men bumping into her on the metro) Only able to upload 10 phots, have so many more of the awful place

The area is a bit run down and not really many eateries in the immediate area but the apartment on the 6th floor was modern clean and was equipped with tea coffee,water,fridge, basic kitchen ware,tv & a hair dryer! Stylish bathroom with power shower towels and shampoos etc Bed very comfortable. Loved the roof terrace with view of the city and the acropolis. I would stay again 😊
